Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Certificate in Meteorology from a recognized University / Institution

Working Experience

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Meteorological Observer for performing the following duties:-

- Conducting routine weather observations, including temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, precipitation, and atmospheric pressure;
- Operating and maintaining meteorological instruments and equipment to ensure data accuracy and reliability;
- Compiling weather data to assist in the preparation of forecasts and reports;
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of weather databases and record-keeping systems;
- Supporting meteorologists in research and special projects, including data validation and interpretation;
- Monitoring and reporting on severe weather conditions and contributing to emergency response efforts as needed;
- Collaborating with other meteorological staff and agencies to enhance data collection and dissemination.
- Staying updated on meteorological advancements and best practices through continuous education;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
