BRAC Uganda NGO started operations in Uganda in 2006. About the Programme
In 2022, the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with BRAC International (BI) will be announcing an initiative that will create a positive and measurable impact for 1.2 million adolescent girls and young women and 9.5 million people across seven countries in East and West Africa, including Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda
There is mounting urgency to support adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) living in poverty, which has been further amplified by the global pandemic. Through this partnership, scalable economic development approaches will be delivered in communities to foster the agency and voice of AGYW. They will have the opportunity to fulfill their aspirations, achieve sustainable livelihoods, and engage in advocacy issues.
BRAC International will implement an integrated and holistic model to address the various life cycles of a young woman living in poverty, ensuring she is able to transition safely from adolescence to adulthood. She will be equipped with the appropriate skills, tools, and access to finance to effectively exercise her agency and build a fulfilling and productive livelihood.

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator (01 Position)
Job purpose
The Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator will supervise department staff during implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities, data management systems development and quality assurance within the M&E department of BRAC Uganda.
Responsibilities
• Provide supervision and technical guidance to staff in M&E department to deliver required results
• Support in developing M&E Tools including M&E Frameworks, M&E Plans and log frames
• Manage M & E department Information Systems and Databases
• Design, manage and administer mobilebased data collections tools like Survey CTO and ODK collect
• Capacity building to staff working directly and indirectly with M&E department in all M&E technical areas
• Oversee routine program/Project monitoring activities and progress on achievement of results
• Ensure proper data management procedures (SOPs, Job Aides etc.) are disseminated and maintained in the braches (across supported regions)
• Work with project coordinator(s) to strengthen community M&E systems through ensuring availability of data collection tools, equipping regional and branch teams with data collection skills and timely reporting
• Conduct routine Project data quality assessments
• Support Analysis and dissemination of data for performance reviews
• Establish and maintain a system to track availability of reporting tools, and logistics for proper storage of records
Safeguarding responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation
• Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do the same
Educational requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social science/Development Studies/Sociology/Business Administration/ other relevant fields. A certificate / Post Graduate Diploma in M & E or Project Planning are an added advantage.
Skills and competencies
• S/he must have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills along with strong organizational ability
• Should have a good understanding of Project Management cycle
• Knowledge about M&E design and impact evaluation methodologies.
• Very good Computer skills and knowledge on software; MS office, EXCEL, SPSS or STATA packages
• Should be competent to Organize, interpret and present information in meaningful oral or written form for varied audiences and provide solid analysis leading to sound decision making Flexible to travelling and working extra hours.
• Strong sense of teamwork, collaboration and demonstrated ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of BRAC.
Experience requirements
Minimum 3 years of working experience in monitoring & evaluation of programs preferably in international development organizations.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
