This Opportunity:
The MEL Assistant will support the Senior Monitoring Learning and Evaluation Officer to lead the development and management of monitoring, evaluation, and learning data and systems for Hive Colab. This will involve collecting data, analyzing, aggregating and developing reports of all project indicators and targets to project reporting and communications efforts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assisting the Senior Monitoring Learning and Evaluation Officer in:
• 75% assistance to the Senior Monitoring Learning and Evaluation Officer (primary) and 25% assistance on project teams issues and events (secondary)
• Developing data forms to track indicators based on program activities Verifying data accuracy
• Developing reporting requirements for each Intervention
• Training staff/ volunteers and other persons of interest to Hive Colab for gathering monitoring data
• Consulting partner organizations on combining monitoring information Conducting site visits
• Researching publicly available data
• Customizing surveys to collect information around the impact of Hive Colab activities
• Interviewing participants of the events, partners (in collaboration with the
• communications team) to focus on more qualitative, intangible, and contextual
• aspects of program and project implementation
• Proposing assessments of selected interventions that demonstrate high rates of
• achievement in accordance with program indicators
• Other duties as assigned

Key Competencies Required:
• Experienced in working with Statistics, Economics, or related fields.
• Knowledge and experience on Monitoring and Evaluation preferably in the economic
• growth sector is welcome.
• Experienced in gathering and organizing large amounts of data across multiple
• countries (Excel tables).
• Fluency in English and any other local languages
• Strong writing, reporting, and presentation skills in English
• Relevant international business development service experience,
• Demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Knowledge of CLA (Collaborating, Learning and Adapting) is welcome.
