JOB DETAILS:
Background: The Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity (USHA) is financed by the United States Agency for international Development (USAID) in Uganda with the goal of increasing the number of people with access to improved and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services, ultimately leading to improved health and nutrition status in focus areas and population groups.
SNV USA is recruiting for three positions described below:
Monitoring and Data Use Consultant. .

The Monitoring and Data Use Consultant will provide support to district local governments to roll out the Ugandan Ministry of Health (MoH)‘s new Management information System (MIS) tool to improve data management processes ~ from capturing data to data analysis - specifically on sanitation and health of households, schools, and health facilities in line with national WASH sector indicators across 13 USHA-supported districts. The Consultant will conduct an assessment on how the Ministry and other partners are already utilizing the new MIS tool — developed through the Ugandan Sanitation Fund - then conduct trainings and provide technical support to address emerging technical challenges, including software-related ones.

Qualifications: Knowledge of the MoH's MIS design and set-up. Familiarity with the national set-up of WASH in Uganda. Familiarity with District Local Government operations. At least eight years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) in WASH. At least 10 years of work experience in developing web-based M&E systems.
