We are seeking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual with extensive experience and abilities to support business growth in the following position:

JOB TITLE: Network Infrastructure Administrator
LOCATION: Head Office
REPORTS TO: Manager Enterprise Systems

Job Purpose
To Enabling both internal and external customers to reach bank services by configuring and maintaining resilient, Secure and efficient network infrastructure balancing security and availability. This includes supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.

Key Responsibilities
• Implementing Core network infrastructure based on the business needs.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-ups for all the devices in the networks.
• Configuring effective security solutions like firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems
• Integration of banking applications with 3rd party services via MPLS and VPN tunnels
• Periodic review of device firmware and timely upgrade of device operating systems to mitigate vulnerabilities and risks.
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) by daily review of logs and reports.
• Managing users and providing rights on domain controller when requested by users.
• Managing branch links – MPLS circuits.
• Providing remote connections to users via VPN connections
• Supporting network related challenges at branches and data centre.
• Managing firewall policies and grant access to users to business relevant applications.
• Providing and controlling internet to users and servers
• Develop and maintain procedures for network portfolio to stabilize configurations across the infra as per industry best practices.
• Maintaining and amending network topologies when there is changes on the design or addition of devices into infrastructure.
• Test network performance and provide security and network performance statistics to supervisors.
• Network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.
• Timely Evaluation and recommendations on security improvements and system upgrades when necessary.
• Troubleshooting network issues or outages within the Service Level Agreement and Provides Root Cause Analysis of problems after the final resolution.
• Taking preventive measures to minimize the reoccurrence of the issues or outages.

Requirement
Minimum Education Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology / bachelor’s degree in computer science/bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications

Work Experience:
• Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in hardware/ Network technical role with supervisory experience skills.

Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
• Knowledge and understanding of the various network typos used by the Bank (LAN & WAN)
• Understanding of the Bandwidth requirements of the Bank
• Knowledge of the network installation techniques
• Ability to troubleshoot the common network problems.
• Knowledge of the required tools to work on the networks.
• Knowledge of the different hardware used on the network.
• Understanding of the different equipment models
• Knowledge of how to deal with users as you take time to work on their faulty equipment.
• Ability to solve common computer user problems.
• Knowledge of the bank policy about proven like maintenance

• Organisation and coordination
