NOTICE OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO SUBMIT VIEWS ON THE NATIONAL TEACHERS BILL, 2024.

On Tuesday, 6 August 2024, the Minister of State for Education in charge of Higher Education, Hon. Dr. J.C Muyingo, tabled before the House, the National Teachers Bill, 2024 for its First Reading; and pursuant to Rule 129(1) of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Uganda, the Rt. Hon. Speaker referred the Bill to the Committee on Education and Sports for scrutiny.

In an effort to ensure public participation in scrutiny of the Bill, the Committee has organized a 2-day public hearing slated for Tuesday, 15 October 2024 and Wednesday, 16 October 2024 in the Parliament Conference Hall A starting at 10.00 a.m. on both days, where interested Members of the general public would be afforded opportunity to present their views on the Bill.
Hard copies of the Bill can be obtained from the Committee Clerk in Room 019C, Ground Floor, North Wing, Parliament Buildings.
