NOTICE OF INTENDED APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPOSED 3.0 MW RUSHANGO SMALL HYDRO POWER PROJECT IN KITAGWENDA DISTRICT
The Electricity Regulatory Authority ('Authority') has under Section 29 of the Electricity Act. 1999, Chapter 145 of the Laws of Uganda, received a Notice of Intended Application for a Licence from SAEMS Engineering Limited for the Generation and Sale of Electricity from a Hydro Power Plant proposed to be established in Nyakobungo Village, Rwenshama Parish, Nyabbani Sub County of Kitagwenda District.
The project is located within the vicinity of the following GPS coordinates: (WGS 84) (deg). zone 36:

• 30.35857° E
SAEMS Engineering Limited intends to undertake detailed feasibility studies and other activities leading to the development of the above-mentioned Power Project whose proposed installed capacity is 3.0 MW. The generated power will be sold to the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited and fed into the National Grid.
Interested persons are invited to inspect the Application/Notice from the addresses below:
• Electricity Regulatory Authority ERA House
• The Offices of the RDC, Kitagwenda District
• The Offices of the LCV Chairperson, Kitagwenda District
• The Offices of the Chief Administrative Officer, Kitagwenda District
Pursuant to Section 30 of the Act, the Authority invites directly affected parties and public agencies/authorities in the areas affected by the project to submit in writing (by post, hand delivery, email, fax or other recorded delivery) any objections and comments in respect of the project to the Authority at the address listed above or via email: secretary@era.go.ug not later than 30 (thirty) days from the date of publication of this notice.
