The USAID/Uganda Private Health Support Program is USAlD/Uganda‘s flagship program managed by Cardno Emerging Markets USA Ltd for supporting HIV/AIDS and health services in the private sector. The program aims to strengthen, organize and mobilize the private sector to provide Ugandans with the option of obtaining high quality health services from private for profit (PFP) and private not for profit (PNFP) providers. in response to an expanded scope of work, USAID/Uganda Private Health Support Program is seeking a competent candidate to ml the position of OVC Program Officer to be based in Kampala with frequent field travels.

1. POSITION: OVC Program Officer
The OVC Program Officer reports to OVC Support Services Team Lead and supports in the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on USAID/Uganda Private Health Support Program OVC activities. She/he will support 46 OVC grantees to ensure the approved activities particularly economic strengthening
interventions for improved livelihoods of OVC L households are implemented and documented in accordance with Ministry of Gender Labor and Social Developrnent guidelines and in compliance with USAIDIPEPFAR requirements

Key Ditties and Responsibilities
• Participate in developing work plans and budgets for the OVC program activities
• Executing OVC program activities and. addressing program challenges.
• Supporting economic strengthening interventions for improved livelihoods of OVC households.
• Assisting OVC grantees staff to understand and use M&E report formats and other technical guidelines.
• Support the finance and grants team in OVC grants management, monitoring and evaluation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Community Development Studies or related field essential. A higher degree in social sciences will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of four (4) years ‘work experience in OVC program planning, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation especially in the context of HIVIAIDS preferred.
• Experience in supporting economic strengthening interventions for improved livelihoods of OVC households an added advantage.
• Experience in supporting performance based giant programs particularity working with district child protection structures and community faith based organizations desired.
• Excellent analytical, writing and verbal commination skills particularly assisting OVC grantees to improve their filling and reporting key.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Gander Labor and Social Development and USAlD/ PEPFAR HNIAIQS and OVC programming policies, regulations and touts desired.
