Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized University/Institution. He /She should be registered with the relevant professional body.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience in workers’ health surveillance programme related field in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Occupational Physician for performing the following duties:-
1. Organizing, inspecting, giving technical advice and supervising nursing in workplaces;
2. Planning and conducting health education, maternal and child health and family planning programmes for workers and their dependants;
3. Planning for rehabilitation of injured or diseased workers;
4. Investigating and advising on nutrition of workers and their dependants;
5. Assisting in various medical examinations and in first aid training;
6. Researching on occupational health nursing for stakeholders and in higher institutions of learning;
7. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
