Role Responsibilities
Education Management • To drive high performance expectations for Heads of Departments and class teachers.
• Promote a culture of caring and trust among PEAS School staff, setting the tone for respectful interaction with students, and demonstrating a willingness to change practices in the light of new understandings.
• Support Head Teacher in establishing a school structure that promotes participative decision making, supporting delegation and distributive leadership.
• Assume responsibility for setting teacher specific subject targets across all classes.
• Drive continuous use of School Information system, and utilization of school data to inform planning and learning interventions.
• Lead staff in reflective meetings and review of performance progress towards set targets.
• Facilitates opportunities for staff to learn from each other and teams.
• Prepare academic plans, schedules, and program for the school.
• Organizes and assists in the management and implementation of the curriculum.
• Ensures there is integrity of internal and external exams through good administration and supervision
• Leadership
• Develops and maintains active and productive relationships with PEAS National Office, Board members (BOG), PTA and School Administration.
• Direct Line Management of Heads of Department and Teachers; including performance targets and appraisals.
• Communicating and justifying to staff compliance expectations with all applicable government regulations and policies, as well as PEAS’ own policies.
• Finance Management
• Jointly accountable for school budget and expenditure budget with the Head-teacher.
• Collates and prioritizes departmental resource requirements and to work with the Head Teacher to requisition and procure necessary materials cost-effectively from reputable suppliers.
• Provide oversight guidance to the school procurement committee
• Governance
• Works with the PEAS Country Office, Board of Governor, Parents - Teachers Association and the Head Teacher to develop strategies to initiate and meet strategic and ambitious school goals.
• Assists the Director with recommending and researching potential new members teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Enforce positive school discipline
• Execute any other duty assigned by a relevant authority

Experience & Qualifications Essential • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized University / Institution

The position is based in a PEAS School. The Assistant Bursar will support the School Bursar in
School fees collections, Expenditure management and ensuring that financial management systems are properly maintained, and regular/ periodical School Finance reports are timely, properly and accurately compiled and submitted to the PEAS Finance.
Role Responsibilities
• Reporting to the bursar on any financial request.
• Ensure that all revenue to the school is collected from parents/Students, receipted & the student ledgers are updated regularly.
• Daily reconciliation of revenue collections using the “daily School Fees Collection analysis”
• Work with the School Bursar to ensure that all school pay transactions are applied and reconciled with the quick books integrated payments.
• Work to maintain and update daily the students Ledger and ensure that every student in the School has a ledger by reconciling the ledgers with the daily attendance list from the class and the dormitory.
• Write receipts for all fees received from parents with accurate fees balance.
• Ensure all petty Cash payments are made and accountability obtained thereafter.
• Daily update of the petty Cash Account in quick books.
• Support the Bursar to track All School Expenditures.
• Ensure the implementation of financial policies in the school.
• Ensure proper record keeping and archiving system.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.

The School Bursar will support the School Director in School fees collections, Expenditure management and ensuring that financial management systems are properly maintained, and regular/ periodical School Finance reports are timely, properly and accurately compiled and submitted to the PEAS Finance.
Role Responsibilities
• Ensure that all revenue to the school is collected from parents/Students, receipted & the student ledgers are updated regularly.

• Take safe custody of receipt book in use and request for a new one when used up.
• Management of all payments. Make sure that these are part of the budget, and approvals are in line with the policies

• Ensure all petty Cash payments are authorized and accountability obtained thereafter.
• Daily update of the petty Cash Account and request for replenishment when the buffer level is reached.

• Works with the director to develop and execute outreach plans to increase student enrolment and student populations in PEAS school.
