Who are we looking for?
In order to get our products into the hands of as many girls and women as possible, the Operations Assistant will go a long way to providing logistical support and executing timely and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the Logistics Manager in organizing cost effective and quick transport for orders, supplies and staff.
• Update and maintain logistics tools/systems, filing and completing all logistics and fleet related records and documentation.
• Collaborate with different stakeholders and deliver key customer service.
• Provide timely administrative support to fellow staff members.
• Support the clearance of imported supplies with requisite authorities like URA, UNBS.
• Ensure that all vehicles have the necessary documentation & accessories.
• Ensure company vehicles are highly maintained and in good mechanical condition.
• Ensure timely vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles have fuel and the usage is timely accounted for.
• Conduct weekly vehicle inspections and maintenance of vehicle mileage records.
• Support in obtaining vendor quotations for local procurement.
• Support with data filing and completion of procurement records and documents.
• Issue transport quotes for upcountry/ outside Kampala orders.
• Support sourcing competitive transport service providers for exports.
• Prepare documentation of exports i.e. Certificate of origin, COC and inspections, Packing list, Airway bills, Insurance covers, etc.
• Liaise with stores in-charge for customer order issuance, dispatches and delivery.
• Support with external driving company and vehicles in case of driver shortage.

Who you are
You are an experienced fleet, logistics, and procurement professional.
• Degree in Transport & Logistics, supply chain or related fields from a recognized institution of higher learning
• 3 years minimum working experience as Logistics Assistant/ Fleet Clerk / Operations Assistant or similar category in a busy environment
• Experience working with both commercial and non-governmental sectors
• Strong business sense
• At least 4 years driving experience
• Experience dealing with drivers and mechanics
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Proven problem solver
• Capability in MS office especially Excel
• Ability to coordinate many moving parts
• Data entry skills
• Ability to develop fleet reporting tools
• Attention to detail
• Personality profile: practical, highly organized, responsive, persistent, resourceful, likes challenges
