Job details:
Church Commissioners Holding Company Limited, an investment arm of the Church of Uganda, seeks to recruit a suitable, qualified, dynamic and competent person for the position of Operations Manager. This position requires an individual with at least 2 years relevant work experience, team player, innovative and proactive , strong Christian values in character and deeds, ability to work with minimum direct supervision, good interpersonal skills, English communication skills(oral & written) and land management skills.

Job purpose

To support management's efforts in the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures and programs that will assure a well managed, well maintained portfolio of CCHCL's residential and commercial properties, and the Church's land assets.

Key responsibilities

• Land Management: Identity and protect Church land — work with Dioceses to survey and map church land, advise on land development matters, ensure sustainable and effective use and management of land for socio-economic gain for the church, Land lease management
  
• Client service: Respond to tenant requests I challenges, generate work orders directed to maintenance of staff and contractors, follow up with the tenants to ensure satisfactory resolution of the issues.
  
• Management of Property tenancy agreements
  
• Records management
  
• Assist with administering tenancy occupancy
  
• Assist with establishment of Property Management Plan, preventive maintenance policies and procedures as well as proper operations manual
  
• Provide monthly reports to the Group CEO
  
• Any other related duties as maybe assigned from time to time

Required qualifications and competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Property Management! Economics l Business Administration
  
• Qualifications in Land Management will be an added advantage
  
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
  
• Experience with maintenance accounting software
  
• Ability to prioritize and multitask

Employment terms:

• Initial contract of 2 years renewable depending on performance
  
• Duty Station: Plot 837, Willis Road, Namirembe, Kampala
