Organisation Overview
Kati is a microfinance company operating in Lira and Pader and Agago districts with a strong social mission, started in 2012.

KATI provides unique packages of business training, mentoring and access to competitive start-up/ business enhancement loans for young entrepreneurs aged 18-35 years in northern Uganda with the aim to reduce youth unemployment by stimulating a culture of transformative entrepreneurship. KATI is looking for the following team members to support its challenge to cut costs, strengthen its group and individual loan portfolio, and achieve profitability within the next 18 months:

Title: Operations Manager (OM)
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overall leadership of KATI and its team of ten (10) dedicated professionals, and accountable for a goal to cut costs and achieve profitability within 18 months. The OM reports to a Board and liaises regularly with funding entities.
The successful candidate is willing to permanently locate in Lira, and has:

•  7 years work experience in banking or microfinance, including >3 years in relevant leadership roles (e.g., regional manager, CEO, department head)
  
• Demonstrated experience leading through change
  
• Track record of cost reduction management
  
• Strong understanding of analytics and financial budgeting
  
• Passion for social impact
  
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Microfinance, Banking, Corporate Finance)
