For our dynamic microfinance organization “SYPO Uganda Ltd.”, we seek to recruit multiple individuals to join our talented and dynamic team. SYPO Uganda Ltd. has a strong social mission and is a subsidiary of the Dutch NGO SYPO. The ambitious company started in 2011 and gives out tens of thousands of low-threshold business loans to groups of women in remote, rural areas of the Mukono and Buikwe districts. The company disburses and collects loans through mobile money. We offer a challenging job with great learning and development opportunities. Successful candidates are willing to spend three days of each week in the field.

Role description
The Operations Manager spends Monday-Wednesday of each week visiting our field offices, disbursing new loans through mobile money after thorough verification of client and client group details. On Thursday-Friday of each week, the Operations Manager reconciles our mobile money accounts, analyses the company financial administration and collaborates with our external accountants. The Operations Manager is responsible for our cooperation with telecom and mobile money aggregator vendors. Successful candidates are exceptionally good at collaborating with the team and company management, able to spot discrepancies in the field, and proficient in both financial accounting and new mobile money technologies.
