BACKGROUND
Your Ref "Part Time - Anaesthetic Officer" NEEDED
Bwindi Community Hospital Hospital (BCH) is a Church of Uganda owned, Missionary founded under Kinkizi Diocese, and Private Not-For Profit (PNFP) Hospital. It is a located in Buhoma Town Council- Bwindi in Kanungu District, categorized as a General Hospital, but operationally a Referral Hospital. The Hospital seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the following vacant position of "Part Time-Anaesthetic Officer" for full 2 (Two) weeks provision of cover per month.

JOB PURPOSE: To administer anesthesia and manage patients.

KEY OUTPUTS
• Plans and budgets for Anesthesia prepared.
• Patients prepared and anesthesia administered.
• Pre and post-operative care provided.
• Resuscitation services provided.
• Anesthetic equipment maintained.
• Allocated resources accounted for.
• Reports compiled and submitted.

KEY FUNCTIONS
• Planning and budgeting for Anesthetic activities.
• Preparing patients for aesthesia and administering it.
• Providing pre and post-operative care to patient.
• Providing resuscitation services in case of emergency and disaster situations.
• Ensuring that anesthetic operational equipment is safe and maintained.
• Carrying out Human Resource management activities.
• Adhering to the Code of Conduct and Ethics.
• Participating in research activities.
• Accounting for allocated resources.
• Compiling and submitting reports.
• Participate in Professional Continuous Development.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS.
• Must have a Diploma in anesthesia from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professional's council.
• Must have a valid practicing license.
• Ability to adhere to the hospital cores values.
