Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., development studies, social sciences, sustainability, international relations).
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in impact assessment, monitoring and evaluation, writing, etc.; preferably within the context of social enterprises or development organizations.
• Knowledge of impact assessment methodologies, such as Theory of Change, Social Return on Investment (SROI), and business-oriented skills like market research would be a plus.
• Experience in impact data analysis.
• Familiarity with the social challenges faced by communities in Uganda and across the region.

Who we are looking for:
The Partnerships and Impact Associate sits in the Partnerships department and has key functions in impact tracking, knowledge management, polishing and presenting that knowledge in external presentations which would position AFRIpads well to customers and partners, and assessing and managing strategic research opportunities that would contribute to both the social mission and business strategy of AFRIpads. This role reports to the Head of Partnerships and Communications.

More about the job:
We are seeking a creative and result-oriented Partnerships and Impact Associate with a unique blend of social impact and commercial skills to join our social enterprise in Kampala, Uganda. As AFRIpads is a menstrual product manufacturer, we also have a strong preference that this person is knowledgeable about menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) and can be a source of expertise and a great external advocate for the solutions we are providing to girls and women. In this role, you will be responsible for determining the key impact data to track which you can make into relevant and visually attractive assets for marketing, communications and sales. Using that information, you will be able to present and speak to the key points of AFRIpads in potential customer meetings and in other multi-stakeholder initiatives. You will use your skills to manage and participate in research, track trends, latest developments in MHH and to manage that knowledge base for internal colleagues as well as for the positioning AFRIpads products. This role is key in ensuring AFRIpads is continuing to be an industry leader, working towards several of the Sustainable Development Goals, and as a trusted MHH partner.

Key responsibilities:
1. Impact Measurement, Evaluation, and Presentation:
• Develop and implement a robust impact measurement framework that aligns with the organization's mission and commercial objectives. Regularly collect and summarize this data for internal and external knowledge management purposes.
• Manage pilot projects with data collection and analysis.
• Regularly produce impact reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders, including customers (NGO, corporate) and partners.
2. Partnerships:
• Collaborate with the Sales, Research and Development, and Communications teams to ensure that social impact considerations are integrated into presentations, strategies and initiatives. Facilitate 360 learning to get the best results.
• Help identify and explore opportunities for growth with the Partnerships team and revenue generation to support the organization's sustainability and impact expansion, representing AFRIpads as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders to maintain AFRIpads’ reputation.
3. Capacity Building:
• Train and support staff members on impact indicators and related messaging for partner and customer meetings.
• Stay up to date on the Menstrual Health and Hygiene space in general, including on research, other product manufacturers, latest products, best practices, specifically considering the role of AFRIpads as a social enterprise.
