As the leading referral retail pharmaceutical chain in Uganda with over 16 branches, we are a well-established and reputable pharmaceutical company with a commitment to ethical values, quality products, and a strong presence in Uganda's healthcare landscape.
Position Description
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, your primary role is to prescribe and dispense prescriptions, supplements, and skincare products to clients. This includes providing exceptional customer service while serving the clients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient and safe operation of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication dispensing: Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications following established protocols, ensuring proper dosage and labeling.
- Patient consultation: Provide information to patients/clients on proper medication use, and potential side effects and answer their questions or concerns. Also offer guidance on supplements, cosmetics, and other over-the-counter products as needed.
- Prescription Processing: Receive and interpret prescription orders from patients, company doctors, other physicians, and health care providers. Verify the accuracy of the prescription details
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and maintaining pharmacy inventory levels including ordering, receiving, and restocking.
- Data Entry: Enter patient information into the Pharmacy computer system, Enter all sales in time into the pharmacy computer system.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations and pharmacy policies to maintain a safe and legal working environment.
- Customer service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, following up, and maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in all company training, quality control, and quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Branch manager and other pharmacy staff to ensure seamless pharmacy operations.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications
- Minimum of Diploma/certificate in Nursing, pharmaceutical technology, or any other related medical field.
- Advanced knowledge of Uganda Pharmacy law or regulation.
- Advanced knowledge of generic and brand-name medications.
- Proficient in using computer systems.
- Must be fluent in the English language.
- Must have the legal right to work in Uganda.
