Job Description
Job Purpose
To leverage the use of third party and alternative data sources (such as credit bureaus) to enhance the quality of credit decisioning whilst ensuring compliance (accuracy and timeliness) to relevant regulatory reporting requirements.
Key Outputs:
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines relating to Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs). These entail among others, borrower registration with a CRB, submission of accurate, complete, and up to date data to CRB, and timely resolution of customer complaints
• Third party relationship management – management of third parties who provide data to enhance credit decision making throughout the third-party life cycle from onboarding through to off boarding
• Regularly assess the impact of third-party data on credit decisioning by back testing and propose changes to credit strategy to ensure alignment with the country’s risk appetite
• Be the primary point of contact with the Central Bank and other relevant bodies with respect to any regulatory queries relating to credit bureau data and represent the Bank at CRB meetings
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Statistics or any related field
Other Qualifications: Professional certification in data science, data analytics or any data related field
Experience Required
Portfolio Risk Management
Risk & Corporate Affairs
• 3-5 years Deep understanding of the Bank's Credit Risk processes and procedures and how decision making is managed within the Risk function
• 3-5 years Interest and expertise in risk analysis and modelling, and experience in risk management within a bank.
