Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Power Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical power systems, with a focus on power lines. Your expertise in electrical engineering and power systems will be instrumental in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of electrical networks and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• Design and analyze electrical power systems, including power line networks, substations, and distribution systems.
• Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for power system projects.
• Perform power system studies and analysis, such as load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, and protective device coordination studies.
• Evaluate and select appropriate equipment and components for power system projects, considering technical requirements, cost, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful implementation of power system projects, including power line installations and upgrades.
• Conduct field inspections and assessments of power systems, identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications related to power system projects.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulatory requirements related to power systems and electrical engineering.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations in all power system activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Registration with the relevant professional body, such as the Engineers' Registration Board (ERB) or a similar body, with a valid practicing license for the year 2023.

Skills and Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and power systems.
• Proficiency in power system analysis and simulation software, such as ETAP, PSS/E, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Experience in designing and analyzing electrical power systems, with a specific focus on power lines.
• Familiarity with power system equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex power system challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in engineering calculations and technical documentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for power systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
