JOB DETAILS:
Our Client is a subsidiary of a company in the United State of America registered in the Republic of Uganda and is in the process of being licensed by the Bank of Uganda as a Microfinance Bank. Their aim is to provide meaningful digital and financial inclusion through our device finance membership plan to the people of Uganda who are still using feature phones and have limited or no access to digital solutions.
Our business approach enables us to work with various stakeholders to ensure we create more flexible and convenient models in providing solutions that meet our customer’s financial status quo as well as social and economic lifestyle
Our client is seeking a successful candidate to fill the position of ‘Pre-Sales Engineer’.
The successful candidate will deliver the following services in relation to this contract:
1. Specialize in communicating product features and corresponding benefits as well as application of the product to a specific market and / or account.
2. Secure, coordinate and oversee critical integrations with new partners and act as the point of contact.
3. Pursue additional business development opportunities within and collaborate with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
4. Assist customers with planning, engineering, and drafting technical requirements.
5. Prepare, coordinate, and conduct successful presentations and demos to potential partners and customers.
6. Write the scope of work for demos and field trials.
7. Ensure customer’s technical expectations meet the product’s capability.
8. Review and provide content and polish to RFx proposal responses.
9. Work deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the sales manager
10. Ensure responses include network diagram applications, technical benefit statements, and overall technical accuracy.
11. Provide business information about the solutions.
12. Collect and build competitive analysis and product comparison feedback.
13. Provide feedback on market trends, customer requirements and market intelligence to the products managers and management.
14. Ensure proper reporting to the manager: daily & weekly reports, detailed trip reports etc.
15. Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process and alerts the sales and account teams on potential risks of deal closure.
16. Expected to lead coordination with Telecom operators, NITA, Utilities, etc.
Key Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
2. Five years of industry experience, including two or more years in sales engineering or consulting
3. Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills
4. Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
5. Positive, service-oriented personality
