TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:
Three (3) years renewable contract upon satisfactory Performance

He/she will be responsible to the commissioner for education, training, information and communication for carrying out the following duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviewing sensitization and training programmes designed by staff under his/her jurisdiction;
  
• Guiding the seto in the development of sensitization mannuals, messages and posters
  
• Coordinating the implementation of sensitization and training programmes
  
• Participating in the development of the commission's annual and strategic plans
  
• Identifying prospective development partners, and initiating concept notes and proposals for possible funding
  
• Supervising. cnacning and guiding staff under his/her jurisdiction
  
• Compiling and submitting periodic reports
  
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:

Applicants should be ugandans holding an honours bachelors degree in either education, community and adult education, development studies, social work and social administration, or other humanities from a recognized Specialization in special needs education or post graduate qualifications in education, human rights or gender/equity studies, and management studies will be of added advantage.

Applicants should have the following competencies
Education/training management, people nu-agemem, effective planning, organizing and coordinating, computer literacy, innovativeness and ethics and integrity

Applicants should have a minimum of at least five (5) years working experience 3 of which are at senior level in education, training or other relevant field with government; or equivalent experience from a reputable organization.
