Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in any field of Aviation Engineering from a recognized University/Institution; or a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License Category A and C plus a Certificate in Instruction Techniques.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Senior Engineering Instructor in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Chief Engineering Instructor for performing the following duties:-
1. Approving course content and training programs for the Engineering School;
2. Assisting the Chief Engineering Instructor in designing, developing and ensuring implementation of the syllabus and instructional programs of the Engineering School, in accordance with the Civil Aviation (Personnel Licensing) Regulations and ICAO requirements in Airframes, Engines and Avionics;
3. Assisting in the designing and development programs of instruction;
4. Conducting theoretical instructions to students according to the syllabus for the courses and developing course plans and program reviews; setting and marking students tests and examinations and guiding and supervising them in practical training;
5. Maintaining and securing the teaching equipment aids and tools in the area of his/her responsibility, including the workshops and laboratories;
6. Supervising and appraising the subordinates;
7. Interpreting and enforcing compliance with Civil Aviation Regulations as applicable;
8. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
