Principal Nursing Officer (PNO)
Job summary

Heads the Nursing Department

• Oversees the planning and administration of Nursing services at the Hospital
  
• Ensures 24-hour Nursing services coverage at the Hospital
  
• Ensures proper implementation oi Nursing procedures
  
• Manages the Hospital Nursing staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS,
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• A qualified and experienced double trained and registered Nursing Officer holding a BSc.N Degree or the equivalent from a recognized University, Additional training and qualification in Nursing Administration,
• Health Services Management or Public Health is a competitive advantage.
  
• At least ten (10) years‘ relevant working experience, three (3) of which in the same position (PNO) or the equivalent at Senior Nursing Officer level in a large Hospital or health facility
  
• Computer liter-ate; with good organization and leadership skills
  
• Registered and licensed by the Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council
  
• A balanced, mature and dynamic Nursing Officer at least 35 years.
