Position
Procurement Manager is responsible for the overall management and ownership of strategic and tactical procurement, to ensure that all operating supplies and services required by the company are available at the right time and quality in a cost effective and safe manner. Planning, implementation of processes, systems and procedures are essential in this role. The job holder is expected to be have high level of integrity, be ethical, provide leadership and coaching to the dynamic purchasing team. .

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement cost effective departmental objectives, procurement policy and strategies
• Implement sourcing and value creation strategies including risk mitigation plans
• Procurement reporting, budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain internal cost controls, develop cost mitigation strategies and promote cost saving culture
• Develop supplier performance management systems and reporting
• Participate in developing and implementing contractor safety management strategies and programs
• Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
• Develop sustainable procurement practices

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of work experience in relevant position and responsibility
• University degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics (CIPS qualification would be preferable)
• Previous experience in Medical, FMCG medical distribution industry would be advantageous
• Health & Safety Knowledge would be an added advantage
• Proficient user of Excel, Word, Power Point
• Knowledge of accounting system (ie QuickBooks, SAP or Sage)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e. fluency in English is a pre-requisite).
