Job Summary
As part of GP, Sourcing team is responsible for all sourcing requirements. To source goods, works and services from the external supply environment in line with agreed sourcing policies and practices and execute in country sourcing and buying processes.

Job Description
• Execute all Sourcing activities across all categories of spend.
• Satisfy customer-sourcing needs (requests, requirements, including advisory) in collaboration with Sourcing Managers.
• Manage performance against an increase in the volume of activities executed, a reduction in the age analysis of activities executed and an improvement in performance evaluation results received from customers
• Comply with the Absa Bank Uganda Procurement Policy (ABUPP) and standards for Dispensations, Waivers and Breach
• Adhere to all system requirements on Coupa and SAP SRM for loading of contracts and catalogues
• Prepare contract documentation, variations, change control notes, extensions, renewals, terminations and addendums, aligned to the Sourcing Model.
• Ensure all steps and activities in the Sourcing Model are adhered to or motivations obtained as may be applicable where steps or activities are not adhered to
• Ensure timely contract and content management, including updating of catalogues and contracts in SAP SRM
• Obtain proposals or quotes from suppliers where required to do so by the nature of specific business requests being attended to
• Analyse price and service changes in the supply environment to ensure that country obtains the best value for money
• Support customers with processes for sourcing requirements as and when required to do so.

Execute Internal Procurement Processes
• Generate or utilise reporting provided from various sources (including SAP SRM and SAP BW) to analyse purchasing trends and make relevant recommendations
• Improve channel and supplier compliance by ensuring that agreed procurement processes are understood and adhered to, for all third party expenditure
• Demonstrate responsibility in ensuring reduction of requests received, reduction in response times to actionable items and improved risk management through actively adhering to policy and governance requirements
• Ensure proactive, regular and meaningful feedback to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support and assistance to requestors for speedy resolution of sourcing challenges. As and when required, source the relevant information from the relevant stakeholders.
• Mitigate risk and ensure the best possible deal in the interests of country by effectively driving P2P compliance
• Guide and support business with obtaining appropriate approval and finalising agreements within time and material by adhering to the stipulated agreed processes.
• Provide support to the Sourcing and Governance Committee proceedings.
• On board all bank vendors as per the country procurement policy, processes and standards.
• Provide guidance and support, as and when required, to customers and other relevant stakeholders regarding processes to be adhered.

Stakeholder Management
• Develop stakeholder relationships and understand business cycles and requirements, which drive Business timelines and priorities
• Supporting clients, where appropriate, in effective handover of commercial arrangements into live operation

Integrity
• Ensure integrity is adhered to for each step in the P2P process and all transactions are in line with company compliance and policies.
• Ensure that all contractual information is loaded onto the Global Procurement Platform (Coupa). Complete all sourcing documentation and Templates as per the country Procurement Policy (ABUPP).
• Address and resolve enquiries related to Business as Usual (BAU)
• providing assurance to business areas managing suppliers that the services are being provided to Absa in line with contractual arrangements

Education, Knowledge & Skills
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business related field, supply chain management, procurement & logistics or related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional qualification in Supply Chain Management or membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) is required.
• At least 3 three years experience in procurement/purchasing management, logistics in a commercial environment.
• Knowledge of Procurement process, contract management and the ability to apply these processes and policy accordingly.
• Be able to develop and maintain supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Maintain a high performance standard with attention to detail, ability to complete tasks within set timelines.
• Ethical conduct in accordance with recognized professional and the bank's codes of ethics.
