YWCA—YMCA Global (YGlobal) is an organization for development and solidarity. We are owned by the Norwegian YWCA-YMCA and the YWCA-YMCA Guides and Scouts of Norway, and work in partnership with our sister organizations in the World Alliance of YMCAs and World YWCA. The main target group for YGlobal's woih in Uganda are children, youth and young adults aged 18-35 years. We consideryoung people core to global development and ourwork strengthens the voice of young people, both men and women, so that they can inlluence unjust policies and contribute to democmtisation ot power structures. YGlobal works on four main thematic areas: Just Peace, Gender Equality, Reduced inequalities, and Climate Action. The topics are chosen because they are important to our target group, have a distinct rights-based focus, and are inionned by the thematic priorities of the World YWCA and the World Alliance of YMCAS. Post: Program Manager
Reporting to: Program Advisor in Osio Office
Duty Station: Kiryandogo with regular travel to Kampala
Position scope:
The Program Manager is responsible for supporting and supervising the project team in Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement, to ensure that YGlobal Uganda Program reaches the set goal and outcomes. He/she will have responsibility to coordinate and lead country processes to expand the program’s budget and geographical coverage. ln this position, successful candidate is also expected to follow up administrative issues with relevant ministries/stakeholders to ensure that YGlobal as an organization, staff and assets are always complying with relevant local laws. Furthermore, the Program Manager has the responsibility and mandate to execute specific proiect related duties and the authority to make the necessary decisions to carry out the tasks given this position. Below is a list of key roles and responsibilities entailing this position, although other duties might he added when so desired by the Y Global Management in Norway. .

Key Roles:
• Ensure that the overall program activities are consistent with YGlobal‘s mission, thematic areas and approaches.
• Ensuring that YGlobal’s holistic approach towards development draws synergies from all project components in a way that forms a value chain that transforms project participants towards a better living situation.
• In close cooperation with project officers and volunteers, increase the quality in all aspects of the project such as the actual program, the financial reporting, narrative reports, etc.
• Ensure quality and submit periodic reports to OPM, UNHGR, YGlobal and the funding partners.
• Strengthen the capacities of the project officers and volunteers and ensure that they continuously develop their competence and capacity.
• Promote teamwork and strengthen delivery as one across the proiect components.
• Develop funding proposals to different funding agencies.
• Networking with likeminded NGOs, and firms.
• Create platforms for exchange and encourage partner organizations both locally and regionally to network more actively
• Budget monitoring and management.

Qualifications:
• A relevant higher education within Humanities, Social Sciences or Development Studies.
• At least 5 years of working experience in a similar position.
• Experience of working with Refugees is an added advantage
• Experience of working with Gender issues is an added advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

• Demonstrated appreciation of psychosocial support and Livelihoods development of the poor
