Programme Manager - Humanitarian

Trocaire is the overseas development agency Of the Irish Catholic Church. We are a Partnership agency with focus on food and Resource rights, women's empowerment and Humanitarian response. Trocaire Uganda is currently looking for a Programme Manager — Humanitarian. The post will report to the Programme Director. This is a 12month Contract with the possibility of extension and is based in Kampala Uganda with at least 50% of The time in Acholi.

The Programme Manager - Humanitarian will lead the programmatic and partnership aspects Of Trocaire's Humanitarian work in Uganda.

The key areas of responsibility are:

• Programme management and development
• Programme quality
• Financial management
• Managing effective relationships .with Partners
• Internal and external representation
• Communications and advocacy
• Staff management

The essential requirements for the position Include

• Third level qualification in: Social Science, Development Studies or a related area
• Minimum five years of working in an international/local organization in Uganda/abroad.
•  Minimum five years of working in Humanitarian programming
• Experience in working in Protection — GBV And psychosocial support in particular.
• Experience of Capacity building with local Partners.
• Good financial skills, particularly in Designing and managing budgets.
• Excellent report writing skills and an Aptitude for designing projects and Proposals.
• Capable of working efficiently under tight Deadlines.
•  Spoken and written fluency in English.
