Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Development Studies; or Public Administration and Management; or Business Administration (Management option); or Arts; or Law plus a Masters Degree in Development Studies; or Public Administration and Management; or Management; or Business Administration (Management option); or Law from a recognized University / Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience in Programme Management, three (3) of which should have been served at Senior Officer level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Secretary for performing the following duties:-
1. Coordinating the development and establishment of guidelines for research, planning and data management at the Secretariat so as to guide programme development;
2. Providing technical support and guidance to the District and lower Local Government Women’s Councils in management of programmes and activities;
3. Developing advocacy mechanisms to support initiatives and activities for the development of the women in the country;
4. Providing technical support in reviewing policies and guidelines for implementation of programmes and activities for Women’s Council;
5. Developing practices, programmes and activities for the participation of women in overall economic development of the country;
6. Writing and reviewing funding proposals and organising fundraising programmes and drives to support Women Empowerment programmes and activities;
7. Networking and liaising with stakeholders for the achievement of development objectives the Women’s Council;
8. Managing the performance of staff in the Division;
9. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
