JOB DETAILS:
The Program Strategist will work with our client on a number of exciting financial inclusion programs.
Their primary purpose is to evaluate and assess company programs and opportunities by conducting due diligence, program research, collecting and analyzing data, optimization and developing assessment tools and strategies. This position will be responsible for strategic program planning, reporting and development, with considerable focus on access to finance programming.

Specific responsibilities of the Program Strategist will include:
• Identify core performance measurement metrics, benchmarks, and progress indicators to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of different programs.
• Works with company stakeholders to evaluate operational and program effectiveness, and, report on the same.
• Develop solutions and recommendations to address program performance issues.
• Develop an understanding of all public-facing agency programs and identifies opportunities to evaluate those programs for process, impact, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve issues and problems and prepare and present recommendations (written and oral) that contain strategic suggestions for program modifications to optimize program effectiveness.
• Communicate with a variety of audiences in both oral and written formats to collect quantitative and qualitative data and report on tasks and outcomes in a clear and concise manner.
• Coordinate data collection and sharing with stakeholders, the public, company board, constituents, NGOs, and other interested parties as necessary.

What We are Looking For;
The right person for this role will:
Have a strong reporting background.
• Have experience of at least 5 years in co-designing program strategies with policymakers or government partners, or other stakeholders and thrive on the collaborative design process.
• Experience might come from work in consultancy, government policy or service design, or change management expertise.
• Enjoy devising strategies for growth and influencing stakeholders to bring about results in complex environments.
• Make data- or evidence-based decisions. Experience running experiments, product development processes, or human-centered design processes is a plus.
• Be motivated to create a broad and sustainable impact on people or communities that our client's programs are focused on, through those systems.

Location: Kampala with occasional travel upcountry
Salary: 4.5 million net pay (Negotiable based on experience)
