JOB DETAILS:
Centre for Evangelism Invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position indicated below in Child ministry under Compassion International Assisted Project at CFE Iganga Church (ganga Child Development Centre UG0549).
Job title: Project Director
Overview
The project director is the team leader of the project staff. He/ she is expected to offer knowledge, guidance and technical skills to children, project committee, parents, fellow project workers and Church leadership in areas of Spiritual development, project planning and budgeting, comprehensive health care, social and skills development.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
The project director shall carry out but not limited to the outlined responsibilities below:
• Serve as an advocate for children and caregivers.
• Take lead in supervising and ensuring accuracy of the children's and sponsor's correspondence, communications and child updates.
• Effectively supervise and Ensure monitoring and tracking of child participation in the program.
• Supervise and Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of all beneficiary files and letter books
• Work closely with the local Church in developing their Childcare Ministry.
• Responsible for effectively supervising, directing in achieving targets of the physical, cognitive, Spiritual and social-economic development of the sponsored children.
• Have a strong relationship with and a witness for Christ
• Serve as a committed advocate for the needy beneficiaries and their caregivers
• Assist the Overseer in implementing the standards of the partnership agreement as the lead technical staff within the partnership
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
• Must be a mature born-again Christian with a sound testimony.
• Must have a professional background (Degree) in any of the following: Social Work & Social Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Communication, Records Management and any related disciplines
• Must have good interpersonal skills.
• Experience and current knowledge about Children (Child development), planning and budgeting, formal training in counselling and basic accounting procedures will be an added advantage.
• Must have computer skills.
• Good written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability and desire to learn new things.
• Age: 35-40.
