We are currently looking for a Project Engineer (f/m/x) based in Kampala, Uganda to support our activities in Uganda and neighbouring countries. We are searching for someone who is experienced and knowledgeable in renewable energies, dynamic, independent, and able to communicate in a clear and engaging manner.
Your Mission
• Collect and assess technical needs of our customers
• Conduct site visits and project evaluations
• Prepare technical layouts, design, and simulations of renewable energy systems
• Provide the technical base for costing, offers, and cooperate with the team to create striking project proposals and support to the sales team
• Supervise implementation of Grips Energy projects, liaise closely with clients
• Report to the Grips Energy Global Project & Engineering Team
Your Profile
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• 2-years plus of professional experience
• Experience in Project Development, Project Management
• Full professional proficiency in French, fluent English (B1/B2)
• Knowledge of the frame conditions of the Ugandan Electricity Code
• Experience in PV Simulation Software and excellent Excel and MS Office skills
• Experience with Autocad and/or E-Plan is a strong plus
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Solutions focused, strong problem-solving, and analytical
• Proactive, commercial approach, entrepreneurial
• Flexible and open to perform multiple tasks in the organisation
• Comfortable working in a start-up environment with no rigid hierarchy

• This role could require overseas travel including overnight stays
