Project HSE Lead

Job description
Advise and develop effective strategies, standards and procedures in HSE management and oversee their implementation to assure that the HSE risks associated across the operations are mitigated to a level that is As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP), are in compliance with all the statutory and corporate requirements, and aligned with the industry best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop, review and implement the company HSE management system
• Develop and oversee specific project HSE plans
• Influence the development and implementation of health and safety requirements specific to procurement, engineering and construction works
• Initiate HSE campaigns across the site to promote and re-enforce safety behaviors for all project and contractor teams
• Manage and plan for internal and external audits to confirm compliance with regulatory, certification and other business requirements
• Lead incident investigation and management activities
• Prepare and maintain appropriately structured project HSE documentation registers

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in relevant Science or Engineering discpline or any related occupational Health, Safety & Environment field
• Professional qualification in HSE management such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NEBOSH certificate etc.

Skills and experience
• 8 years’ relevant experience in HSE management for Construction/Commissioning work environment.
• Knowledge of risk management, fire safety and PTW procedures
