JOB DETAILS:
Position Description
The project seeks to hire a Project Manager to be responsible for coordinating the project activities at the Uganda site, and in collaboration with other DASH consortium partners. Thus the Project Manager will:
• Participate in the planning and preparation of field research activities
• Coordinate the implementation of field research activities
• Supervise the project field staff
• Mobilize the support of community leaders, health care workers and other stakeholders for the research project, in the communities where the research is to be conducted
• Maintain appropriate communication between the Makerere site and the other project consortium partners
• Organize and coordinate project meetings, workshops, etc.
• Participate in the preparation of the periodic project reports, as well as maintaining appropriate records of the same
• Perform any other project duties as may be assigned to you from time to time, by the Project Site PI.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Suitable applicants MUST have:
• Training at master’s degree level in Biostatistics, Public Health, or closely related field
• A Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 4.0 at master’s degree training from an accredited university
• Ability to travel up-country to supervise field staff that may sometimes require spending a few nights up-country
• Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work with diverse sectors as well as meeting deadlines
