FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY (FH) INVITATION TO BID
PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE SERVICES FOR FY25/26 REF: FH/KLA/MED-INSURANCE/06/2024
Food for the Hungry (FH) also known as FH Association (FHA) is a global Christian humanitarian relief and development organization that designs, develops, and delivers catalytic solutions so that children, families, and communities can flourish. Collaborating with local actors across sectors, we co-create solutions that build resilience by strengthening mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. In Uganda, we are operational in the following areas; Kitgum, Lamwo, Kween, Mbale, Adjumani, Namutumba, and Amudat.
FH invites sealed technical and financial proposals for the Provision of Medical Insurance Services for the staff and benefactors as per the details in the scope of work. The proposals shall be evaluated in accordance with FH Procurement Policy and Procedures.
Proposals shall be evaluated against the following criteria;
• Eligibility Documentation
• Technical compliance to the scope of services.
• Financial capacity (Bank statement for at least the last 6 months)
• Supplier KYC Questionnaire (MUST be signed & stamped)
• A minimum of three (3) reference letters from partner INGOS.
• Price offer (MUST be signed & stamped)
• Conflict of Interest Declaration Form (MUST be signed & stamped)
The Medical Insurance Service provider should have:
• Extensive experience and a proven record of accomplishment in the health insurance business.
• Reliable health coverage services and a record of accomplishment of excellent services.
• Proven experience working with other collaborates INGO's.
• The ability to provide medical service provider solutions to Amudat and Lamwo Area Programs.
• The ability to provide 24 hours service
• Evidence of real time administrative support systems
• The ability to incorporate a speed dial
• Wide networks for National and International coverage
• Ability to provide reimbursement system by sending the claim to employee's bank account
• Provision of ambulance services to transfer staff in cases of emergencies
The service provider is not limited to any innovative ideas in terms of cover benefits and any other additional services that they may deem to be beneficial to FH should be incorporated. Insurers should provide proposals indicating their general cover offering and benefits or services that give them a competitive edge in the market. The current FH staff, along with beneficiaries, totals 443 people, with an additional 50 projected for staff and dependents.
Interested bidders should submit only one (1) original sealed hard copy of the proposal clearly labelled to the FH Kampala Office by 10th July 2024 at 6:00PM. The proposal should include a list of benefits offered for this cover. No late proposal shall be accepted.

FH reserves the right to extend the bidding period and cancel the process.
