Job Summary
The QAQC Manager is responsible for ensuring that the required QA/QC activities are well-performed, proactively identify and close non-conformances
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Supervise construction works being undertaken to ensure compliance with the applicable drawings, Project Specifications and Standards.
• Carry out the inspection of construction materials and tools to ensure they meet the design standards and are in good condition before they are used.
• Review and check project designs, method statements, Inspection Test Plan e.t.c.
• Carry out reviews of inspection and test results and making follow ups of punch lists and snag lists.
• Ensure onsite compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
• Supervise and monitor the site Technical team in the execution of works with respect to quality assurance activities
• Coordinate Quality Audits to check the performance of the quality system and identify Non-compliances for Corrections; Responsible for issuance of Non-Conformance reports and following up with Corrective Action reports.
• Conduct inspections on in-progress works and ensure that requirements are met.
• Inspect testing of materials, work-in-progress and final products as per approved Cementers Quality Management plan and the Main Contractor’s requirements.
• Prepare project Quality Plans and procedures adequate for successful operation of project works.
• Prepare inspection and test plans (ITPs) for the project
• Be involved in Factory Acceptance Tests/Site Acceptance Tests (FATs/SATs) as necessary.
• Induct and train project team on issues of quality importance.
• Involvement in the preparation of procurement plans in collaboration with the procurement department to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Prepare quality reports for the project at daily, weekly and monthly intervals
• Attend regular quality review meetings
• Manage and control records of quality matters.
• Coordinate testing of materials internally and with external laboratories for quality checks.
• Ensure tests on materials and works such as pipes test, soil tests, aggregate tests, concrete tests and steel reinforcement tests.
• Ensure validity of site work equipment’s by conducting calibrations.
• Coordinate with the HSE team to ensure a safe working Environment for workers
Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Quality Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Quality Management related Certificates, Non-Destructive Testing Certificates (e.g. UT/PT/MT/VI).
• At least 5-years quality management working experience, Mining, infrastructure or Oil & Gas background is preferred.
• Experience of raw material inspection and Non-Destructive Inspection.
• Experience in preparation of ITPs, and carrying out (FATs/SATs)
• Familiar with Quality Management Systems and using of Quality Control Tools.
• Familiar with international engineering standards, such as API, ASME, ISO, IEC…
• Experienced to utilize inspection tools, e.g. PMI, NDT, Welding Inspection, Coating Inspection…
• Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills.
• Excellent comprehensive analyzing ability.
• Good at English writing and speaking.
