JOB DETAILS:
Primary function:
• To ensure the required QA/QC activities are well performed, proactively identify and close non-conformances on worksite.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all QA/QC activities associated with company construction projects and maintenance works.
• Responsible for Technical Review of inspection results and coordination of punch lists.
• Attend Tool Box meetings contractors or subcontractors in the yard regularly
• Liaise with the Construction and Quality Control Specialists to provide support and guidance to the Contractor and their Subcontractors.
• Ensure that all fabrication, erection and installation works being undertaken comply with the applicable drawings, Project Specifications and Standards.
• Responsible for managing the inspection of tools to ensure they are in good condition before they are used.
• Conduct NDT inspection, painting inspection, positive material inspection and visual inspection as requirements.
• Utilize inspection tools (UTT, PMI, etc) to verify the ITP results; verify materials quality certificates and perform sampling inspection.
• Responsible for punch list items, nonconformance reports as required, and following up with issued nonconformance reports.
• Effectively manage a team of multi-disciplined, multi-cultural QC Inspectors and to ensure that regular surveillance and inspection of all fabrication, erection and installation works is undertaken, that nominated inspection points as specified on the applicable ITPs are being attended to and results documented.
• Participate in the review and implementation of Quality Management System; ensure updates are conducted regularly as required.
• Develop programs and procedures for QA/QC activities in respective company business areas.
• Responsible for document management and control; Receipt, review and filing of Company QC Inspection Reports. Ensure all Quality Management related records are maintained in good manner and easy to obtain.
• Organize & participate in contractor QMS audits and workshop QC surveillance; develop quality audit reports; tracking the contractor performance improvement.
• Organize and perform internal QA/QC related trainings to employee and contractors.
• Perform other duties assigned by superior.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Quality Management, Engineering, or related
• Quality Management related Certificates, Non-Destructive Testing Certificates (e.g. UT/PT/MT/VI).
• At least 5-years quality management working experience, Oil & Gas background preferred.

Knowledge
• Familiar with Quality Management System and using of Quality Control Tools.
• Excellent Audit reports & procedures development and document management skills.
• Experience of raw material inspection and Non-Destructive Inspection.
• Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis Skills.
• Familiar with international engineering standards, such as API, ASME, ISO, IEC.
• Understanding of oil E&P. Knowledge of QHSE policies for the oil and gas industry in Uganda.
