Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client, Worley Parsons Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Construction Engineer to work on the EACOP (East African Crude Oil Pipeline) construction project in Uganda.

Roles and Responsibilities
• managing the planning and design stages of construction projects in line with the procedures and ensure and that all jobs are carried out as per the Company’s operating standards.
• Monitor the day-to-day construction activities of the contractors.
• Ensure work is carried out using safe working practices and is completed in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and specifications.
• Deals with technical queries at site level and communicates design changes with Engineering Department.
• Studying the preferred methods of erecting/assembling structures, and establishing erection sequence.
• High standard of safe working practice, quality and productivity as well as compliance with Code of Business Conduct.
• Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties.
• Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.

Qualifications and experience
• Degree in Engineering or suitable equivalent (Higher National Certificate/ Higher National Diploma) with experience.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience required in Oil & Gas Pipeline construction projects,
• 5 years in similar position for pipeline projects.
• Must possess construction experience in onshore pipeline installation projects
• Staff management experience (knowledge transfer)
• Excellent communications skills
• Advanced written and spoken English
• Computer Skills – Microsoft office, Tilos, P6
• Competency in written/oral communication
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel as and when required
