About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Well Control Engineer for one of our clients CNOOC Uganda.
Location: Kampala, Lake Albert production installation base or other cities in Uganda if required.

Primary function:
• Responsible for technical support and data management related to well control during on-site and offsite operations and assist well control manager to carry out well control management.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily routine well control management and develop well control management system documents.
• Participate in well control inspections and acceptance of well control equipment from drilling contractors on site, summarize the non-conformity items and supervise relevant rectifications.
• Organize and join the well control inspection prior to drilling into the reservoir formation.
• Track the improvement and implementation of well control technical measures of each single well.
• Supervise the standardized installation of well control equipment, the inspection and recording of well control emergency materials, and promptly coordinate and deal with problems found.
• Participate in project, technical study and design review meetings relating to project assignments/documents and present information as required.
• Execute other duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Petroleum engineering, drilling or the related.
• At least 2-5 years related working experience.
Knowledge:
• Basic knowledge of drilling & completions operations and well control.
• Knowledge of the local petroleum policies and laws.
• Understanding of D&C general procedure.
