JOB DETAILS:
Hardware World Limited is a leading distributor cf construction materials in Uganda. We have diversified cur business porltclio to include quarry business of processing and selling of machine crashed aggregates, precast concrete products like concrete blocks, pavers. culverts, etc.
To meet the unique demands of our customers, we are now introducing a new line of business, Ready Mix concrete and as such we are looking tor experienced individuals to run the concrete batching plant.

Job Summary;
To carry out product and raw material tests and make recommendations to improve the quality of our concrete and precast products.

Job Description;

•  To carry out daily tests of raw materials and finished concrete products.
  
•  To assists in maintaining regulatory compliance documentation.
  
•  Ensure product labelinglstenciling confoms to requirements.
  
•  Assist 8
  
•  Perfomr monthly & annual material testing 81 calibrations. ensuring that all materials used meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  
•  Recommend corrective actions on mix design to engineering as needed.
  
•  Conduct daily yard inspections to ensure product and material quality.
  
•  Managementot laboratorytest equipment in his department
  
•  To carry out sampling and testing on site.
  

Job Requirements

•  Degree or Diploma in construction management. civil engineering.
  
•  Any relevant protessionalltechnical certification with hands-on experience.
  
•  Ability to operate a computer and supporting software packages.
  
•  Ability to properly use concrete lab equipment e.g. Lab oven, lab scales, slump cone, unit weight bucket, air meter, thermometer, tape measure, sand-equivalentlhydrometer, sieve analysis & sand equivalent shaker, Schmidt Hammer, organic impurities test}.
  
•  Maintain thorough knowledge of precast processes and equipment and have a workable knowledge of technological development and best practices.
