JOB DETAILS:
Duty Station: Kampala
Remuneration: T4 according to Tamani Scale Contract
Type: Renewable
Contract Period: 3 Years
Reports to: Director of Operations
Role:
Work with wildlife officer to design, develop and implement innovative Wildlife Research techniques for In-Situ and Ex-Situ push for adoption of techniques in wildlife industry and lead the creation of effective business models Wildlife Research.
Duties
1. Assist the research and development manager to identify gaps in wildlife research in ex situ and in situ research concept for proceeding in business development.
2. Aggressively push for adoption of new ground breaking techniques to target entities in Wildlife Research.
3. Help represent the company in key strategic Wildlife Research platform for local, regional, international platform, work to always influence discussion on these platforms in relation to the company philosophy.
4. Assist create an effective and influential information platform that influences Wildlife Research policy discussion and industry organizational and governmental levels
5. Assist to design, develop and implement the company’s Wildlife Research guide that provides systematic direction for the implementation of Wildlife Research programs, projects and activities
6. Assist in Creating an effective training model for Wildlife Research techniques for both company staff industry actors, stakeholders, shareholders and partners
7. Manage intellectual property policy for wildlife management innovation and creative work for unauthorized users.
8. Press management in consultation with research and consultation on issues of wildlife research.
9. Ensure all Wildlife Research programs, projects and activities are in line with local, regional and international standardization protocols
10. Disseminate Wildlife Research information to public through newsletters articles and professional round tables.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of a degree in Ecology and other related field
2. Three years’ of working experience in areas of wildlife and research.
3. Demonstrable research skills such as data analytics, statistics, or survey design.
4. Impeccable writing and organizational skills.
5. Team-working and communication skills.
