JOB DETAILS:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To drive the University staff, students, guests, any other assigned passengers and ensure general maintenance of the bus.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS Qualifications:
• Uganda Certificate of Education ('O' level Certificate) with at least a pass in English.
• Driving Permit Class DE
• Elementary Motor Vehicle Mechanics Certificate is an added advantage. (d) Certificate of defensive driving is an added advantage

Experience:
• Should have a minimum of five (5) years of bus driving experience.

Competences:
• A Post-graduate qualification in Human Resource Management from a Essential recognised institution is a must.

Experience:
• Should have at least three (3) years' experience in Human Resource Management as a Human Resource Officer in a Public Institution or reputable organisation.
• Working with Government Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS), Human Capital Management System (HCM)/Integrated Personnel and Payroll System (IPPS) will be an added advantage
• Membership of a professional Human Resource Management body like HRMAU is an added advantage.

Competences:
• Ability to drive long distances.
• Knowledge of traffic and highway safety and economical manners (c) Clean driving record
• Good eye sight (vision on both eyes).
• Self Confidence.
• Ethics and Integrity.
• Time Management and Flexibility.

Desirable
• Ability to relate well with students, staff and willingness to learn University System. (b) Public Relations and Customer Care.
• Should have high integrity with excellent communication, leadership and (c) Basic knowledge of mechanical and vehicle maintenance interpersonal skills.
