Job Description:
As the Recipe Development and Production Manager, you will be the driving force behind creating and refining our meat product range that includes sausages, frankfurters, bacon, ham, Russian sausages, to mention but a few. You'll be responsible for developing new and exciting recipes, improving existing ones, and ensuring the highest standards of production are met.
Responsibilities:
• Recipe Development: Devise innovative and appetizing recipes for sausages, frankfurters, bacon, ham, Russian sausages, and other meat products. Strive for exceptional flavor profiles, textures, and visual appeal that align with market trends and customer preferences.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain strict quality control measures throughout the production process to ensure consistency and adherence to our high-quality standards. Conduct regular taste tests and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Cost Optimization: Collaborate with the purchasing and production teams to source cost-effective ingredients without compromising on product quality.
• Production Oversight: Oversee and coordinate the production process, working closely with the production team to ensure recipes are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with food safety regulations and ensure all meat products comply with relevant industry standards.
• Innovation and Research: Continuously explore new meat product trends, ingredients, and processing techniques to enhance our product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
• Sustainability: Seek environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions for production processes and packaging where possible.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of food technologists and production staff, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Experience of over 3 years in a similar position will be accepted as an alternative to the bachelors.
• Proven experience in recipe development for meat products, with a successful track record of bringing products to market.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for food and a creative approach to recipe development.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality.
• Knowledge of market trends and consumer preferences in the meat industry.
