JOB DETAILS:
Centenary Bank seeks to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and competent person to fill the position below. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and result-driven professional.
Role:
Develop, review and implement the strategy, framework, standards and policies for the management of the Banks corporate memory
Key Result Areas:
• Determine and implement clear retention periods, regimes, and methods for different type of records.
• Develop and implement Records management work plans.
• Direct and control the safe custody of bank records in accordance with laid down procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements and regulations.
• Maintain the archive facility for records of permanent nature and intrinsic value to the Bank
• Manage the storage of records in line with policies and relevant laws.
• Oversee the destruction of obsolete documents in line with the retention and disposal schedule
• Oversee the management and organization of Registries, Records centers, and Archives.
• Oversee the records management cycle from creation, retention to disposal.
• Plan, budget, and coordinate activities of Records units at Head office in line with the Bank policy
• Supervise and manage performance of staff in line with Human resource policy
Education and Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library & Information Science or Records & Archives
Required Experience and Competences:
• 4 years’ experience in Records Handling, 3 of which should have been at supervisory level
