JOB DETAILS:

Reporting to Shift Supervisor/ Production Officer, The Successful Candidate Will;

Key Result Areas:
1. Operate and monitor recycling equipment such as washing lines, crushers, balers, and shredders to process materials.
2. Sort materials such as plastic, glass, and paper and ensure they are processed in the correct machinery.
3. Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machinery, replacing worn parts, and repairing equipment as necessary.
4. Conduct regular safety checks to ensure that machinery is operating safely and in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
5. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and perform routine adjustments and repairs. Monitor the quality of recycled materials and ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
6. Maintain production records and prepare reports on production output, equipment maintenance, and material quality.
7. Work collaboratively with other members of the recycling team, such as sorters and drivers, to ensure that production quotas are met.
8. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
9. Any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Production Officer.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
1. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education with a bias in science subjects.
2. 1-2 years of experience in machine operation, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment.
3. Familiarity with recycling equipment and machinery, including balers, crushers, and shredders.

1. Good communication skills including reading skills.
2. An aptitude for math.
3. Mechanical ability.
4. Physical strength and stamina.
5. Ability to work in high places.
