We are seeking for a suitable candidate to fill the Position of Refugee Product development Specialist.
The Project Development specialist will be hired by Opportunity International and will be responsible for assessing current market and business development opportunities, gathering intelligence on potential customers. They will support on the design, implementation and evaluation of financial solutions that are sustainable, client friendly and drive business.
Reports to: Refugee Consortium Lead
Job purpose: Work with external stakeholders and consultants to create innovative and evidence based solutions that identify appropriate products and delivery mechanisms that meet refugee needs.
Use business intelligence and data driven approaches for product development.
Assess current market and business development opportunities, gather intelligence on potential customers and competitors, and leverage strategic partners to generate financial solutions that are sustainable, client friendly and drive business. .
Key Result Areas:
Product development
• Identify and drive products through the most adapted delivery channels, drive performance based on this
• Design/implement data collection systems needed to inform evidence based solutions
• Work across all departments to identify resources, gaps and operationalize refugee products into Partner portfolio (Operations, channels, IT, marketing and business)
• Develop and refine the bank's products and services for both loans and deposits in line with the bank's product development and innovation strategy and regularly monitor their performance.
• Reporting, prepare monthly product performance reports capturing trends, measure individual products against the bank set performance measures and write a report with recommendations.
• Manage refugee on boarding, identification and account opening processes.
• Agent oversight and management to ensure full functionality for clients and Bank needs.
• Participate in creating and developing strategic partnerships to create a holistic environment to meeting client needs whilst growing business.
• Participate in planning and organizing of key awareness raising and business development events.
• Ensure effective and efficient research on competitor's products.
Marketing
• Generate market scan and follow market trends for the purpose of developing appropriate marketing and business development strategies.
• Test, pilot, evaluate and develop financial products tailored to both refugees' needs and realities and Partner's efficiency and effectiveness Building capacity from PHB.
• Generate and extract quantitative and qualitative data on refugees' financial needs and behaviours to make informed and appropriate investment decisions. Use this to inform relevant recommendations to leadership.
• Interpret data to develop cost models for existing and new products
• Knowledge dissemination and learning
• Sit on refugee Steer Co and represent product development; integration, learnings for both FSPs
Personal skills and abilities
• Outstanding needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills
• MIS/SPSS experience
• Statistical interpretation and analysis
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree/Diploma in business Studies, economics or statistics
• 3 to 5 years' working experience with at least 2 years in product design and development
