JOB DETAILS:
Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) (Pride) is the leading Microfinance Deposit Taking Institution in Uganda with 34 networked branches and 10 contact offices countrywide, an equal opportunity employer regulated by Bank of Uganda under the MDI Act, 2003. Pride is looking for a dynamic & energetic individual to fill the position of Regional Manager. The Regional Manager will report to both the Head of Credit Business and Head of Savings & E- business. He/she will be responsible for driving business growth by providing leadership to various branches in the region, implementing the business strategy and ensuring compliance.
Specific Responsibilities: -
• Ensure that the region achieves and exceeds its annual targets including Portfolio, PAR, VSP, e-Banking products and client numbers on a monthly basis.
• Ensure that branches in the region recover written-off loans in accordance with PML’s loan recovery guidelines.
• Ensure that all data in the system is complaint to CRB standards for all branches in the region.
• Assist branches in preparation of targets and budgets. These budgets shall capture branch activities (revenues, expenses, clients, loans e.t.c)
• Participate in loan appraisals for Individual loans with the branch credit committees as per Credit Policies guidelines.
• .Undertake timely performance appraisal of all regional staff and manage /coordinate staff welfare issues in the region.
• Coordinate administration and procurement activities in the region in liaison with Administration and Procurement department
• Coordinate the process / verification of securities and related security documentation with Senior Manager, Credit Products.
• Participate in the approved promotional activities of Pride products and other social events to enhance Pride’s corporate image in the region.
• Address client complaints received orally or through the suggestion box.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and other periodic field reports on activities in the region to the Senior Manager, Credit Products.
Person Specifications:
• Should be mature, intelligent, diligent, with strong work ethics, and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Should possess strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Should be honest, trustworthy & have a high degree of integrity
• Should not be more than 45 years of age.
Minimum academic qualifications and experience:
• Post graduate diploma in a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Microfinance, Development Economics, Development studies, Business Studies, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Financial Services, Business Computing, Business Statistics, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Social Science, SWASA, Education or in any other relevant / related field.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a similar or related position.
