JOB DETAILS:
Finance Trust Bank was licensed as a Tier 1 Commercial Bank on 11th November, 2013, taking over the financial services business of Uganda Finance Trust Limited (MDI). Today Finance Trust Bank is a fully-fledged commercial bank serving a clientele of over 500,000 depositors and over 37,000 borrowers, through a network of 35 branches country wide. The bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.

In order to meet the needs of its growing customer base, the company is seeking to recruit dynamic, self-motivated, result oriented professionals to fill the following position;

Relationship Manager- Public Sector
This position reports directly to the Manager Public Sector and Social Enterprises based at the Branch.

Role of the job
The Relationship Manager Public Sector will build and manage rapport with Public Sector clients. The key responsibility being developing and leveraging Public Sector relationships to grow the bank’s assets and liabilities base.

Key Result Areas:
1. Growth of deposits as per the set targets through growth of current accounts/collection business as well as eco-system opportunities from the Public Sector.
2. Ensure that public sector specialized institutions and agencies are given special attention within the bank, including onboarding of any new to bank business relating to them.
3. Prepare customer sales plans to ensure each relationship is managed according to the regular reviews of the customer portfolio to assess future needs and ongoing fee/income potential.
4. Support in the management of ongoing relationships with existing Public Sector partners and where relevant, leverage those relationships to a greater collective impact for the Bank.
5. Understand the Public Sector requirements and decision makers (maintain database of key Public Sector stakeholders), structure solutions, implement and monitor the customer experience.
6. Support in providing specialist sector information & governance as well as conducting training on the structure and workings of the Public Sector to the Business, Credit, Risk & Compliance teams in the bank.
7. Champion strategic partnerships and social visibility of the bank’s brand in the Public Sector space.
8. Ensure 95% digital migration of the assigned portfolio and as feasibly as possible, digitize their customers journeys to promote the cashless and self-serve solutions of the bank.
9. Maintain a record of key Public Sector events & activities that would present viable business and value chain opportunities for the bank.
10. Coordinate and support the branches in running elective Public Sector sales activations, generating leads, and dealing with queries and complaints.
11. Any other official duties that may be allocated from time to time by management.

Minimum educational and technical competence requirements:
• Minimum of a first Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Management or Administration or any other relevant field.
• A Master’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Management or Administration would be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years work experience in supervisory role business, 2 of which should be in Relationship Management or Branch Management.
• A versatile individual with significant headroom and experience in dealing with Government Institutions and government supported social enterprises.
• Excellent communications and engagement skills.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and relationship building
• High level of integrity and strong entrepreneurial skills
• Self-drive and initiative
