Consultancy to undertake the review and development of the NSLED (2025/26 – 2029/30)

The Ministry of Local Government is responsible for the implementation of the Local Economic Development Policy, 2014. The Policy has been operationalized by the National Strategy for Local Economic Development (NSLED) developed in 2022 with a strategic theme “Re-Igniting Local Resources and Self Help” 2021/22 – 2024/25.

The NSLED was aligned to the National LED Policy 2014, the third National Development Plan (NDP III), Vision 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The NSLED is due to expire on 30th June 2025. To guide the continuity of the implementation of Local Economic Development strategy as aligned to the NDP IV period 2025/26 - 2029/30, Vision 2040, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Ministry of Local Government intends to review the progress of the implementation of the current NSLED and develop a new strategy for the period 2025/26-2029/30.

Accordingly, the Ministry with support from VNG International is seeking services of a reputable Local Economic Development consultant to undertake the review and development of the NSLED 2025/26 – 2029/30.
