Job Scope:
Organisation Context: The Risk and Compliance Manager (RCM) with support from Senior Management and the enterprise risk champions, maintains an accurate and holistic view of the risk landscape, thereby informing and steering management decision-making with the objective to maximize risk-adjusted return (i.e., achieve a balanced risk-return profile). The Risk & Compliance Manager reports to the Senior Management and the Board on all material risks which could threaten the achievement of key business objectives facing the business and compliance monitoring activities.
Role Purpose: responsible for reporting to the PAUL Senior Management on the firm's risk exposure relative to its risk appetite and tolerance and to provide risk-focused challenge on any business strategy, plans or material transactions that may alter the risk profile of the company or expose it to reputational or regulatory risk. The role also provides risk advice and information on key business decisions, ensures the firm meets relevant local and international regulatory requirements (including those related to financial crime) and supports the development of the organization's risk and compliance culture, capabilities, and awareness.

Responsibilities
Risk & Compliance Framework Implementation
• Steer and sponsor the implementation of a fit-for-purpose risk, compliance, and security framework in alignment with local regulatory, Group Risk framework and Group Compliance Policy requirements to ensure robust risk management processes (identify, measure, assess, control, report) are embedded and operational across the business.
Continuous Risk Identification
• Continuously identify risks (inci. regulatory risk) across the business to maintain an accurate and up to date view of the risk landscape with the objective to support the Senior Executive Management, inform business decision-making, identify potential threats to business strategy execution and to protect Prudential's brand, reputation, and integrity.
Production of Risk and Compliance Management Information
• Deliver timely, accurate and high-quality risk and compliance management information to executive management and the Board with a focus on material risks (incl. regulatory and conduct risks) and position against risk appetite.
Risk-focused influence of material business decisions, plans and strategic initiatives
• Provide risk-focused advice, review and challenge of material business decisions, business plans and strategic initiatives / projects with the objective to ensure a balanced risk-return profile, the identification of risks that could threaten delivery and to ensure adherence to company risk appetite. This specifically include all risk-based decision making (RBDM) processes as defined in the Group Risk Framework. This also incorporates all approval processes as defined in the Group Governance Manual.
Regulatory compliance oversight and engagement
• Provide proactive support and advice to the business to ensure compliance with local and regulatory requirements on an ongoing basis and to ensure that regulatory relationships across the business functions are appropriately managed.
Risk Awareness and Culture
• Ensure company-wide risk and compliance awareness and establish processes to embed a strong risk culture and risk behaviours across the company (also incorporating customer fairness and conduct-related matters).
Financial Risk Management
• The R&CM shall be responsible for detecting and scrutinizing all possible risks (Market risk analysis, Operational risk analysis, Regulatory risk analysis and Credit & Liquidity risk analysis) that may end up impacting the organization's financial success and make recommendations to the organization on measures that can help mitigate business risks.
• They are also required to assess, control, and analyse potential risks in several non-market related fields.
• The R&CM will have to make use of various valuation techniques and tools, statistical models, and quantitative analysis in order to get required jobs done such as stress and scenario testing, models & use developed applications testing
• They are to guide the business towards adhering to statutory requirements and financial regulations laid out by relevant authorities.
• They are equally expected to develop strategies that will help the organization to minimize financial risk as well as maximize rewards
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Specifications
• Minimum bachelor's degree in actuarial or Accounts with a post graduate qualification in risk management preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant business experience.
• Exposure to risk management techniques either directly in a financial and operational risk management role or in a financial or audit or actuarial or business area.
• Strong strategic and implementation skills.
• Proven record of accomplishment of success in people management and leadership skills. uest timed out

• Bias for action and results driven.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities, cultures, and business practices inherent to an international organisation.
