JOB DETAILS:

The Risk Manager reports to the Head Risk Management and is responsible for Senior Risk Analyst ICT & Operational Risk. He/she be based at Head Office and will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the risk management system throughout the institution. Provide recommendations on the company's policies, procedures and practices focused on effectively and efficiently managing risk to acceptable levels.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Planning and implementing the development and maintenance of a Comprehensive Risk management system.
• Determining the scope of review f the suitability of internal control designs.
• Proactively identify emerging risks and report to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and implement the overall Enterprise Risk Management Framework for the Organization. Carryout fraud risk investigation- Risk does not conduct investigations.
• Carryout fraud risk investigation. Provide technical guidance in establishing Key risk Indicator, risk appetite and develop risk registers and ensure adequate review, oversight and updates.
• Identifying risk-focused training needs and projects requiring specialized expertise needed for risk
• mitigation and recommend appropriate improvement measures. •Provide reporting to Management and the Board
• RICO on risk exposures, effectiveness of mitigations to address risks; and the continued adequacy of the ERM.
• Co-ordinating enterprise BCP activities.
• Evaluate the adequacy of the organization's internal control framework in addressing risks and accomplishing the organization's goals and objectives.
• Develop and execute targeted awareness campaigns to ensure that risk management becomes an integral part of the Organization's culture. Incident management.
• Coordinate outside audit projects and activities requiring specialized expertise needed for risk mitigation and recommend appropriate improvement measures.

Minimum Academic Qualifications, Experience & competences:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, (Mathematics, IT, Finance as per the job analysis tool) or in any other relevant/related field.
• Master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, and Economics or in any other related field is an added advantage.
• Should possess at least 4 years' experience in a related field and should not be more than 40 years of age.
